British naval movements a according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant in 1823

London, 25 February. According to tidings were ten war brigs to be used for the royal packet service to begin in next April. According to tidings from Portsmouth dated 22 February as the order given to the ships Seringapatam (1) and Redwing (2) to join the West Indies squadron withdrawn and both ships were to stay until new orders were giving to stay at Spithead. In the meantime sent France some ships towards the Spanish coasts for cruising and probably was a British squadron to be fitted out which had to observe what was going on. HMS Conway arrived Thursday at Portsmouth coming from Bahia after a voyage of 49 days.(3)

3. Launched at the yard of Pelham, Frindsbury 10 March 1814 and sold in 1825.
