Frederik Jan Stokhuyzen (26 November 1842 Arnhem, Netherlands-2 March 1930 The Hague, Netherlands), serving between 1856 and 1902 ending his career in the rank of vice-admiral. Twice asked to become minister of navy but refused both times. In 1898 appointed as supreme commander of the naval force in the Dutch East Indies and also adjutant extra ordinary of the Dutch queen.
