The foundation of a Polish navy according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant evening edition dated 24 September 1919

Warshaw, 24 September. The Polish government agreed with the plan to found a Polish navy after the ratification of the peace treaty. The navy would consist of at least four cruisers while the personal would number 3,500 men and 150 officers. Admiral Poremaki would become minister of navy. He served in earlier years in the Russian navy and as second in command of the cruiser Novik distinguished during the war with Japan.
