Naval operations of the Dutch East Company in Cheribon according to the Generale Missive dated 5 April 1742

The Westkapelle loaded at Indramaju 140 and at Cheribon another 100 last rice destined for Amboina. Nothing more could be purchased. The Den Dam which lost her rudder due to hard West winds early January arrived at Batavia 11 March with a cargo of 50 last rice, 550 pikol black pepper, 82 pikol fabric (coming from an certain inland vessel), 400 kadjangmatten (mats?) and 200 kanaster sugar (with a bruto weight of 56.329lb). The sugar was by the inland militia seized at the sugar mill of Walet, costs including the expenses fl. 5532. With the Diemermeer were 30.000 rijksdaalders transported to Cheribon.
