The Egyptian navy steamboat Nile entering Marseille, France according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 14 October 1842

The 10th arrived the Nile, of the nicest ships of the Egyptian navy at Marseille, France. She was armed with 4 guns and commanded by Jaffar-Beij. She transported gifts from the Egyptian pasha Mehemet-Ali to the French crown, existing of 8 very beautiful Arabs (horses) and some priceless shawls.
