The Portuguese navy according tot the Dutch newspaper Groninger Courant dated 10 October 1780

Letters from Lisbon dated 12 September reported that the Portuguese Court signed the Treaty of the joined Neutral countries and that she ordered that none prizes were to be brought into Portuguese harbours and those who were all ready had to be removed within 20 days. Portugal decided to fit out 20 warships and all ready arrived some Russian warships and frigates.
