US Navy ordered the building of two airships according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland evening edition dated 8 October 1928

London, 7 October. The US department of navy ordered the Goodyear Corporation to built 2 large controlled airships larger as the Graf Zeppelin. One was to cost 2,450 and the other 5,375 dollar.(1)
