British and Turkish naval forces at Egypt according to the Dutch newspaper Oprechte Haarlemse Courant dated 4 June 1801

In an item dated Paris 30 May were details supplied dealing with the British forces involved in the Egypt expedition. The naval force consisted of 3-80 gun ships of the line, 4-74 gun ships of the line, 3-36 (?) gun ships and 3 ships of 40-44 guns and further more 39 fluyt ships, 1 corvette and 3 armed brigs. The Turkish naval force consisted of the 110-gun Sultan Selim and 5-74 gun ships of the line and 8 corvettes.
