Egyptian and Turkish warships assembled according to the Dutch newspaper Overijsselsche Courant dated 9 April 1830

In letters from Malta received at London and to which a news item dated 30 March referred was at Constantinople a powerful Turkish force assembled consisting of the 3-deckers Mahmud (140 guns) and Selim (130 guns), 7 ships of the line, 8 frigates included one large and 20 large corvettes of each 24-26 guns. This forces was to be joined by a 80-gun ship of the line coming from Marmora and some Egyptian warships.(1)
