Reorganisation of the Turkish navy according to the Dutch newspaper Groninger Courant dated 15 March 1805

According to an item dated Constantinople 22 January was on behalf of the navy an own testerdar appointed. While the navy was strengthened and reorganised as much in the British manner received this yesterdar yearly 15,000 beurzen and the number of sailors was to be increased from 10,000 to 15,000 men.

Another Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsche Courant dated 8 August 1805 published an item Constantinople 30 June according to which the Sultan decided to reorganise the navy in the British manner.
