American president Roosevelt wanted more money for navy according to the Dutch newspaper Delftsche Courant dated Tuesday 22 September 1942

An item reported that last Monday president Roosevelt asked the Congress a new budget of 2.731.154.307 US dollars on behalf of the navy. The Arnhemsche Courant and the Dagblad van het Oosten both dated 22 September confirming this item.
