Hugh Gibson sent for USA to Geneva disarmament conference according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 26 April 1927

An item dated Washington 23 April reported that Hugh Gibson (1) was chairman of the American delegation to the Triple Powers conference at Geneva. The edition dated 18 March reported that he had been vice chairman of the American delegation at the International conference in 1925 at Geneva dealing with the transport of war stores. He was now leader of the preliminary disarmament conference and the triple powers conference.

1. Hugh Simons Gibson (16 August 1883 Los Angles, California-12 December 1954 Genthod, Geneva, Switzerland) participated between 1925-1932 in conferences and so on with as main issue disarmament. Active in American foreign service in several appointments abroad.
