The Ligurian government however had as compensation sending 6,000 sailors for French war service and to transfer the harbour with the arsenal, the yard and the dock and since the French intended to built there 10 ships of the line was the Ligurian government obliged to increase the dock partly. The recently launched ship of the line and one frigate and two corvettes were also handed over to France.
