Dutch selling former German R-class minesweepers according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 26 January 1957

An item reported that the Royal Netherlands Navy intended to sell nine minesweepers belonging to a squadron inshore minesweepers which were used directly after the Second World War for minesweeping along the Dutch North Sea Coast. These vessels were build between 1942 and 1944 in Germany as R-class minesweepers and since November 1947 in Dutch service but now replaced by new minesweepers.
