Russian warships lying at Helsingfors according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 12 April 1918

An item dated Petrograd dated 10 April 1918 reported that 30 destroyers, 40 submarines and 50 transports of the Russians were left behind at Helsingfors. They were disarmed but it was not possible to transfer these ships to another location .That same evening were three battleships coming from Helsingfors at Kronstad expected. The former Russian icebreaker Volynetsz and the Finnish icebreaker Torntramp landed a small German force at Lovisa between Helsingfors and Viboy. According to tidings was a German squadron with some transports underway from Reval [Tallinn] towards Lovisa probably to capture the railroad Helsinfors-Viborg.
