Spanish naval preparations according to the Dutch magazine Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius dated April 1758

A tiding received from Madrid reported that all efforts done to fit out a fleet had just as reason to sent out one squadron for cruising along the Spanish coasts and a second squadron to escort the wealthy fleet expected in August to return from the West Indies.
