British troop transport Golconda wrecked at Picol Canton, China according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 19 March 1841

In an item was reported that the British transport Golconda which left Madras bringing troops to the Chinese area was stranded by Piclo Canton. The crew was saved and taken prisoner of war by the Chinese authorities.
