Russian cabinet buying merchant ships according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 7 December 1915

According to an item dated Bucharest 6 December reported tidings from the lower Donau that the Russian government continued with buying ships. Recently were the Belgian ships Koning Albert and Tigris bought and were negotiations going on for the steamship Violette. The negotiations for buying the Swedish steamship Daland failed while the owner demanded that the ship was not to be used for military purposes.
