An item reported that according to a tiding from Coepnhagen dated 12 July a Russian fleet consisting of eight ships of the line, two frigates, one brig and one corvette commanded by vice admiral Platen passed and anchored of Elsinore. While passing the capital city saluted the Russian commanding officer with seven gun shots which were returned. The edition dated 24 August 1844 reported that the Russian fleet which recently left Elsinore according to a tiding dated Christiansand the 5th that she was sighted on the 2nd off Oxoë going westwards. Konstantin was not on board but departed the Danish waters with a steamboat towards Kronstad where arrived the 5th.
