Russian squadron visiting Elsinore according to the Newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 26 June 1852

An item dated Berlin 24 June reported that on 20 June a Russian squadron arrived at Elsinore consisting of six ships of the line, one frigate, one corvette and one brig and that another five ships including a steamboat were still expected. The newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 26 June reported that a day earlier a Russian naval force is increased to a strength of 17 ships including some large ships of the line and anchored on 21 June at Elsinore.
