Sea tidings from Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviasche koloniale courant dated 5 April 1811

On 30th March arrived the British frigate Bucephalus off the island Leijden.
The 31st was she joined by a second ship coming from the West.
The 2nd were both ships joined by the British corvette Samarang and the brig Baracuta coming from the East. The cartel ship which arrived earlier anchored now at Batavia.
In the night of the 3rd were four vessels burned by British launches and four others and a Chinese wankang captured.
The 4th anchored the three British ships with the prizes off Edam.
