Hamburg-Südamerikanische Dampschiffahrts Gesellschaft ordered building of freighters according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 13 October 1935

An item dated Hamburg 12 October reported that the Hamburg-Südamerikanische Dampschiffahrts Gesellschaft presumably was to order the building of three freighters of each 9,000 gross register tonnage. Probably two were to built at the shipyard of the Howaldtswerke A.G. at Hamburg and the third one at the shipyard of the Flensburger Schiffsbaugesellschaft.
