Soviet Union ordering building warships by French shipyards according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 29 June 1934

An item dated Moscow 27 June reported that the naval commissioner ordered the building of 4-7,000 tons cruisers and 4 destroyers by French shipyards. This order was considered to be the first result of the visits by a Soviet navy commission to the French naval bases Brest and Toulon.
