Rebels captured Burmese gunboat according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuwsblad voor Sumatra dated 29 July 1952

An item reported that communist rebels captured a gunboat of the Burmese navy of Tavoy, a coastal town in South Burma which was sent to attack their positions. The Maju, flagship of the navy was now sent to this area.(1)

1. The Majy was the former British frigate HMS Fal of the River-class. Correct spelling of her name is Mayu.
