Soviet Union interested in buying or building merchant ships in England according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 12 March 1936

An item reported that the Soviet cabinet sent two exports to England to buy two ships. Further more was the cabinet also interested in purchasing two dredgers. Until now were British tenders refused while the Soviet Union wanted credits with an amortization more distant in time. If there were none second-hand dredgers available intended the Soviet Union to order a new one.
