Swedish navy founding naval bases according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 14 April 1954

An item referred to the newspaper United Press which reported that the Swedish navy was admitted by the Parliament to establish a string of naval bases which would be the strongest and well-protected bases of the world. Within 10-15 years was a string of bases for the Swedish navy and the coastal artillery to be realized including underground shelters of medium sized warships and submarines. The plans also included the building of docks and repair workshops in an enormous space to create in the rocks with the use of dynamite and which would be situated at the new bases at Muskoe.
