British merchant tonnage slightly increased according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 10 March 1916

An item dated London 9 March reported that minister Runciman the House of Commons informed that the total tonnage of the British merchant marine just slightly increased from 12.119.891 tons in 1913 to 12.416.406 tons in 1915.
