Former Turkish minister of navy accused of accepting a commission from Dutch shipyard according to the Dutch newspaper De Sumatra post dated 13 January 1928

An item dated Rotterdam 12 January reported that the Turkish premier Ismet Pasja accused the former minister of navy Ishan Bey of accepting a return commission for the delivery of two submarines by a Dutch shipyard although the costs of each submarine was 400.000 Dutch guilders higher as the offer from the French shipyard Norman. The Turkish navy officers present in the Netherlands during the building at the shipyard and the trials were evocated towards Ankara(1) The shipyard was Wilton Fijenoord, the involved ships the Birindji Uni and Ikindji Uni.
