Japanese Union of sailors wanted none Chinese sailors on board of Japanese ships according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 8 April 1933

An item reported that the department Osaka of the Japanese Union of sailors with common votes decided that Chinese sailors were not welcome on board of Japanese ships and those who already serving on board were friendly requested to leave immediately. The decision was send to the other departments of the union.
