US navy should use powder coal according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dat0ed 22 September 1926
An item reported that that the president of the Oil Conservation Board the Shipping Board advised to use powder coal which would be cheaper as diesel oil. In his opinion was using oil on such a large scale misguided regarded the exhausting reserves of the US navy. An expert predicted him that within five years the US was forced to buy petrol in England.
