German bark ship Hermann bound for New York, USA according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 14 February 1863

An announcement reported that the German bark ship Hermann of Bremen captain F. Kuhlmann was to depart Rotterdam at the end of February towards New York. York. For more details could be asked at Wambersie&Zoon in Rotterdam.(1) The edition dated 20 January reported that she was to depart on 1 March. The edition dated 27 September reported that she was to depart Rotterdam on 1 October towards New York although she would load also stores with bills of lading directly for Philadelphia. Her captain was now H. Ohlerich.

1. Emanuel Wambersie (11 October 1761 Gent, Belgium-6 October 1829 Aelter, Belgium) and Dionijs Burger jr. (26 January 1788 Rotterdam(-17 November 1860 Rotterdam) shipping agents firm Wambersie&Burger since 1 January 1821. He became partner in the firm Wambersie&Zoon on 1 February 1858.
