Political statement of French navy according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 10 December 1938

An item dated Paris 8 December reported that the official French attitude with reference to the Italian claims on Tunis and Corsica was made clear by the decision of the French minister Campinchi. He ordered that the first two 1,000 tons flotilla destroyers were to be named Le Tunisien and Le Corse.(1)
