Boiler exploded on board of Chilean gunboat Gaviota according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 18 February 1897

An item dated Talcahuano 11 February reported that on board of the Chilean gunboat Gaviota that day a steam boiler exploded when she was lying in the harbour. Five men were killed and another eight wounded.
