British/Egypian (?) gunboat Mehemet in action according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 20 January 1899

An item reported that the troops of Achmed Fedil numbering 2.000 men surrendered to the crew of the gunboat Mehemed on the Blue Nile. Fedil fled to the south.
