Crew of Portuguese gunboat murdered at Chinde. Mozambique according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 24 July 1897

An item dated Lisbon 23 July reported that in the Portuguese parliament the cabinet stated that according to a tiding she received the crew of a Portuguese gunboat at Chinde, Mozambique was murdered. Captain Coutinho was ordered to go to the Zambezi and punish the rebels.
