Dutch shipyard Kraaier at Zaandam, Netherlands building Indonesian patrol vessels according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 9 January 1956

An item reported that the Indonesian cabinet ordered the building of eleven patrol vessels at the shipyard Kraaier Scheepswerven at Zaandam. Each vessel had to have a length of 30 metres, built of wood with an aluminium superstructure and fitted out with two 30hp engines.(1)

1. The newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 18 May reported that the same day the second one of these vessels was handed over and before July 1957 were the resting nine to be delivered. Loaded on deck of sea ships were the patrol vessels transported to Indonesia where the first one was expected to arrive on 20 May. They were to be used by the customs service and the first five were to be stationed at Belawan.
