Dutch shipyards building Indonesian patrol vessels and coaster according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van Friesland dated 7 April 1951
An item reported that the Dutch shipyards N.V. Gebr. Van Diepen at Waterhuizen and N.V. E.J. Smit at Westerbroek each received an order from the Indonesian government for building a motor coaster of around 44o tons with accommodation for 12 cabin passengers and 190 deck passengers. Some other shipyards including Gebr. Niestern at Delfzijl received orders for building six patrol vessels.
