Oil transports from the USA to the Soviet Union according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 24 October 1940

An item dated San Francisco 24 October reported that the Soviet tanker Batum arrived at San Francisco the load the first of the 500.000 barrels oil bought by the Soviet Union since the US embargo on kerosene. Three Japanese tankers loaded 300.000 barrels of light oil.
