Russian naval movements around and in Turkish territorial waters according to the Dutch newspaper Soerabaijasch handelsblad dated 30 November 1941

An item dated Istanbul 29 November reported that four of the Soviet Unions largest Black Sea tankers with a total tonnage of 28.000 tons and loaded with petrol arrived in Turkey escorted by 9 warships as far as the Turkish territorial waters. According to rumours intended Russian warships including submarines and the battleship Pariskaya Kommuna to pas the Bosporus.
