Wreck found of French torpedo boat No. 83 according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 28 November 1896

An item dated Brest 2 November reported that the tug Chameau discovered the lost torpedo boat No. 83. She was lying on a depth of 15 fathom parallel to the rocks about 1.800 yards north of Cape de la Chèvre. An effort to salvage her was intended.
