German anti-torpedo device according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag dated 19 April 1896

An item reported that a student at the German military academy invented a so-called ZerstörervernichterindengrundbohrerKaputmacher. This device had the intention to damage/disable the submerged weapons [tubes?] of the torpedo boats.
