British gunboat Badger involved in negotiations at Samoa according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 7 June 1899

An item dated Auckland 31 May referred to tidings from Apia that Mataafa and Malietoa both pretenders for the crown of Samoa decided to accept the decisions of the German-British-American commission and to lay down their arms. Mataafa already handed over 1.800 rifles to the British gunboat Badger.(1)
