Japanese tug Koyo Maru launched according to the Dutch newspaper Het vrije volk dated 14 August 1967

An item reported that the Saturday before in the harbour of Shimonoseki the 2.250 tons tug Koyo Maru was launched, proudly announced by the Japanese as world’s largest tug. Building costs around 9.000.000 Dutch guilders. She was however fitted out with 2-4.500 hp engines so she was not the strongest tug, that was still the American tug Alice Moran with 10.000 hp.
