Allies dividing remaining German submarines according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 14 January 1946


An item reported the arrival of a group Soviet navy officers in Ireland to take over ten of the sixty German submarines. England, the USA and Russia decided during the Potsdam conference to divide among themselves a small number of German submarines for experimental purposes and to scuttle the remaining.
