Remaining Italian submarines not scuttled according to the Dutch newspaper De locomotief dated 17 December 1947

An item reported that according to the peace treaty closed with Italy were the Italian submarines to be scuttled on 15 December. However the Allies decided to change the treaty permitting to keep the submarines floating. Of the 130 Italian submarines available at the outbreak of the war survived just 34.
