British merchant ships released by Spanish authorities according to the Dutch newspaper dated Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 12 November 1937

An item dated London 11 November reported that the authorities of Salamanca decided to release five British merchant ships hold in five nationalistic harbours.(1)

1. At that moment was the Spanish Civil War (17 July 1936-1 April 1939) going on between the Republicans supporting the Republican government on one side and the Nationalists led by general Francisco Franco.
