Building number 149.Her building at the shipyard of the Kon. Mij. De Schelde at Vlissingen, Netherlandswas ordered by the Rotterdamsche Lloyd between 5 and 8 January 1812, keel laid down on the northern slip in 24 May, in the thrushes end July, plating fitted end September, launched on 23 November by Miss Ann Martin, trial while berthed on 18 January 1913, departed the yard on 18 January, official trial and delivered to the owner on23 January and she begun on 1 February. Built within 12½ months. Contracted building costs ƒ 1.000.000. Stranded on 8 March 1925 at Hoek van Holland, Netherlands and broken in half some days later. On 7 April stern salvaged and sold in December for ƒ 66.500 to the firm Rijsdijk at Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Netherlands to be broken up. The four boilers and the 3-cylinder triple expansion engine supplied 3.600 (projected)ihp-3.750 hp with 80 rpm during the trial with a displacement of 14.416 tons and a draught of 28’2” allowing a speed of 13 knots. Dimensions 131,06 (between perpendiculars)-135,86 (over all) x 16,76 x 8,57 and hold 8,99-11,36 metres or 430’0”-445’9”x 55.0”x 28’2” and 29’6”-37’3”. Deadweight 10.408 tons, displacement 3.025 (launching with a draught of 5’1”fore and 9’2”aft) 14.416 tons and a tonnage of 6.925,82 gross and 4.384,26 net tons. Loading capacity 464.540 cubic feet of bales. One 30 ton derrick. Bunker coal capacity 1.329 ton. Water capacity 147 ton and 109 ton fresh water. The passenger accommodation consisted of 4 cabins and further more was accommodation available for the so-called ‘between decks passengers.’
