Dutch shipyard Verolmes Verenigde Scheepswerven investigating perspectives of nuclear tankers according to the Dutch newspaper Het vrije volk dated 7 September 1957

An item reported that the Dutch shipyard Verolmes Verenigde Scheepswerven was interested in building a nuclear tanker. Experts of the Scheepsinstallatiebedrijf ‘Nederland’ at IJsselmonde were investigating the economic and technical conditions. According to C. Verolme intended his company not to start with building such a ship, but was the intention to be prepared if a potential customer ordered such a ship.
