French bark Cambronne arrived at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with survivors of merchant ships destroyed by German raider according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 27 June 1917

An item referred to tidings received from Rio de Janeiro the French bark Cambronne arrived with 200 British, French and Italian sailors who formed the crews of ships destroyed by a German raider off Trinidad. The raider was described as a sailing vessel fitted out with a gasoline motor. The edition dated 2 April published an item dated Rio de Janeiro the 1st reporting the arrival of the Cambronne. The sailors believed that the raider was a prize of the Möwe/Moewe. The survivors stated a huge loss of men.
