Italian blockade runner Butterfly escaped from Recife according to the Dutch newspaper Limburgsch dagblad dated 22 August 1941sec

An item dated Genoa reported that the Italian steamship Butterfly which success escaped from of the blockaded Brazilian harbour of Recife in the night of 29 June. She was surprised by the outbreak of the Second World War and could not return earlier. She departed with her lights extinguished arriving after a month safely in a friendly harbour.
